As the clocks "fell back"
and we lost an hour of light
I also lost my time at the pond after work.
It's been a rough week.
I miss these sunsets,
and the quiet moments to regroup at the end of the day.
So I thought I'd share a favorite sunset from October.
The water was so still,
and the sky reminded me of lemons and blueberries.
Do you think if I start to leave work at four
anyone would miss me??!!

I perfectly understand your need of serenity; This picture shows so well what beauty can offer as solace and peace to heart.
ReplyDeletethis is FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image! Love the little duck on the edge of the frame.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was working, my boss would let me leave early on Fridays - just a 1/2 hour - but it gave me 30 minutes to high-tail it to my favorite nature area. I never appreciated light more than when I was working and the winter weekdays denied it.
Beautiful shot! The sky and pond are perfect. Looks like just the spot for a spirit refill.
ReplyDeleteThis is breathtaking!! Beautiful sky and such still, peaceful water!! Perfect!!
ReplyDeleteSimple and stunning... Perfect !

ReplyDeleteSeems like you caught the light at the perfect time to catch a great reflection.
ReplyDeleteI miss the light in the evening too!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone would miss you, but if I had sunsets like this to look at with those lovely cloud reflectiosn, I think I would be gone :) Can you go in an hour early ... :)
