11/8/13

As the clocks "fell back"
and we lost an hour of light
I also lost my time at the pond after work.
It's been a rough week.
I miss these sunsets,
and the quiet moments to regroup at the end of the day.

So I thought I'd share a favorite sunset from October.
The water was so still,
and the sky reminded me of lemons and blueberries.
Do you think if I start to leave work at four
anyone would miss me??!!

  1. I perfectly understand your need of serenity; This picture shows so well what beauty can offer as solace and peace to heart.

  2. Beautiful image! Love the little duck on the edge of the frame.

When I was working, my boss would let me leave early on Fridays - just a 1/2 hour - but it gave me 30 minutes to high-tail it to my favorite nature area. I never appreciated light more than when I was working and the winter weekdays denied it.
